SUPPORT TEAM JAMIESON
TO ATTEND THE WORLD DE
AF CURLING CHAMPIONSHIP
in SOCHI, RUSSIA, MARCH 5-13, 2017
FUNDRAISING GOAL: $5,000.00
We are Team Jamieson, Alberta Deaf Women’s Curling Team, and we have qualified to represent Canada at the 2017 World Deaf Curling Championship in Sochi, Russia! Obviously, we are beyond excited by this opportunity to compete for our country, and we are training hard to bring home the gold.
We hope you will help us to realize our dream by contributing to our fundraising initiative.
Team Jamieson consists of four dedicated and skilled athletes: Skip Holly Jamieson (2015 World Junior Curling Champion representing Canada), Third Sally Korol (Two-time Canadian Champion at DeafOlympics), Second Nyla Kurylowich (Two-time Canadian Champion at Deaf Worlds), and Lead Andrea Scott (our newest addition and a talented athlete). As part of our team we also have Coach Taina Smiley (Certified Level 3) and recently, we invited Fifth Cecilia Tung (6-Time Canadian Competitor) to our ranks.
To date, we have raised approximately $11,000.00 from
grants and individual donations, yet training for competitive
sports involves considerable costs. Any financial
contribution you make will go a long way towards helping
us to be in top form for the Championships in Russia. All
funds raised will go towards covering the costs for training,
airfare, hotel fees, bonspiel fees, practice fees, visas, team
curling bags, team Canada brooms, additional equipment,
jackets, and meals for our two week stay in Russia.
Sponsorship Benefits: By donating money to Team Jamieson, your business will benefit from publicity and advertising on our social media platforms (Team Page on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram), on all media releases through Alberta and Canadian Deaf Sports Associations. In addition, by updating our social media posts regularly, we will give positive exposure as fans, family, and media are given the opportunity to like, share, and re-tweet our progress.
Sponsorship and Donation Opportunities are available to local businesses, curling organizations as well as other interested groups or individuals. Donate now (or by February 28th, 2017, at the latest) and support gifted and dedicated athletes who are working hard to make Alberta, and Canada, proud. A minimum donation of $20 is eligible for a Tax Receipt, in which funds must be written out to “Alberta Deaf Sports Association” if
paying by cheque (Cash and e-transfer are also accepted).
Yours in sport and in gratitude,
